On the 17th (local time), the ‘Czech Open Indoor Skydiving Championship’ concluded in Prague. Competing in the highly demanding 'Solo Speed' category, Cha recorded a total score of 58 points, earning him a spot on the podium. The competition featured over 80 elite flyers from around the globe, making his achievement even more remarkable. Cha finished just two points shy of the gold medalist, Germany’s Raphael Ramseier, who scored 60 points, proving that the gap between the young prodigy and the world’s best is now razor-thin.

Indoor skydiving, which originated for military training in 1964, has evolved into a sophisticated global sport. While team events like 4-way and 2-way formations are popular, 'Solo Speed' is often compared to figure skating due to its requirement for technical difficulty, artistic flair, and raw velocity.
In this arena, Cha Seol-min displayed a level of fearlessness that belied his age.
