L’Oréal Korea and Naver Forge Strategic Partnership to Revolutionize AI-Driven Beauty Commerce

SEOUL – In a move set to redefine the digital landscape of the South Korean beauty market, L’Oréal Korea and Naver, the nation’s leading tech giant, announced on March 6, 2026, that they have entered into a comprehensive strategic partnership aimed at strengthening beauty commerce capabilities.

The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held on March 4, attended by key executives including Rodrigo Pizarro, Managing Director of L’Oréal Korea; Han Jae-young, Executive Director of Naver Ad Sales; and Lim Hyun-dong, Head of Naver Shopping’s E-KAM Center.

A Three-Pillar Strategy for 2026
Under this new alliance, the two companies have co-established business objectives for the year 2026. The collaboration will focus on three core pillars designed to create a seamless synergy between global beauty expertise and cutting-edge local technology:

Commerce (Naver Shopping): Enhancing the digital storefront and product availability.
Media: Optimizing brand exposure across Naver’s vast content ecosystem.
New Services: Implementing next-generation shopping tools and delivery logistics.

AI-Powered Personalization and "N-Delivery"
A major highlight of the partnership is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the consumer journey. L’Oréal plans to leverage Naver’s advanced AI to offer "intelligent shopping functions," which include hyper-personalized product recommendations tailored to individual skin types and preferences.

Furthermore, the partnership will significantly improve logistics through the introduction of "N-Delivery." This service aims to provide consumers with a frictionless experience—from AI-driven discovery to exclusive product bundles and rapid delivery—all within the Naver ecosystem.

"By combining the expertise of both companies, we will preemptively identify the needs of rapidly changing consumers," said Rodrigo Pizarro, Managing Director of L’Oréal Korea. "We are committed to continuously presenting innovative commerce models and differentiated customer value optimized for the Korean beauty market."

Expanding the Ecosystem: Membership and Creators
The collaboration extends beyond simple sales. The two giants plan to deepen ties with the Naver Plus Membership program and the "Super Savings" promotions to reward loyal customers. Additionally, they intend to expand Creator Commerce initiatives, empowering influencers to bridge the gap between L'Oréal's global brands and local consumers through authentic storytelling.

Commitment to Sustainability
In alignment with L’Oréal’s global sustainability program, "L’Oréal for the Future," the partnership also carries an environmental mandate. The companies announced a joint "Refill Promotion and Campaign" scheduled for June 16, in observance of World Refill Day. This initiative aims to encourage eco-friendly consumption habits among Korean beauty enthusiasts by promoting refillable product options.
