Global tech leaders including NAVER Cloud, Microsoft Korea, and ONDA to gather for insightful sessions on AI transformation

SEOUL — The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, alongside the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), is currently accepting applications through November 11 for the '2026 Tourism AX (AI Transformation) Seminar.'

Designed to help tourism industry professionals navigate the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and integrate these cutting-edge technologies into actual business operations, the upcoming seminar will take place on November 13 at the ASEM Ballroom on the 2nd floor of COEX, Seoul.

Navigating the Future of Tourism Through AI

Running under the theme "The Next Journey of Tourism: Checking In with AI," the event will feature keynote presentations analyzing global AI trends and the future landscape of the tourism sector. Key speakers include Jung-shik Oh, Executive Director at NAVER Cloud, and Gun-bok Lee, Managing Director at Microsoft Korea. A subsequent panel discussion will provide an in-depth exploration of industry challenges regarding AI adoption and future growth strategies.

The seminar will also highlight practical, real-world industry implementations. Hyun-seok Oh, CEO of ONDA, a prominent B2B accommodation reservation management platform, will share innovative case studies on how tourism startups are driving business transformation through AI. Additionally, "Ddotteonam," a popular travel YouTuber with over 700,000 subscribers, will deliver a special lecture on "Travelers in the AI Era and Tourism Marketing."

Participation and Accessibility

The seminar is open to anyone interested in the tourism industry, including current professionals, business owners, and enthusiasts. Detailed information and registration can be found on the official 'Tour e-Learning Center' website.

To accommodate those unable to attend in person, the KTO will also broadcast the entire seminar live online in real-time.

Byung-sun Min, Head of the Tourism Industry Division at the KTO, emphasized the urgency of the event, stating, "AI transformation is no longer a matter of choice, but a vital prerequisite for the survival and leap of South Korea’s tourism industry. We hope this seminar will offer practical business solutions to industry practitioners and serve as a crucial turning point for our tourism sector to emerge as a global leader in AI innovation."
