Lee Ki-seong, Director-General of Overseas Korean Policy at the Overseas Koreans Agency (Commissioner Lee Sang-deok), attended the "Night of Exchange with the Inauguration Ceremony of Kim Mi-jeong as the 6th President of the Federation of Korean Chinese Associations and the Advisory Committee, Consultation Committee, and Supporters' Association" held on April 27th, congratulating Kim Mi-jeong on her inauguration.

Approximately 300 people, including Korean Chinese residing in Korea, attended the event.

In her inaugural address, President Kim Mi-jeong stated, "Korean Chinese have grown together with Korean society for decades, contributing in various fields such as labor, education, and culture." She emphasized, "We are not simply strangers but partners who dream and build the future together in this land. In particular, the younger generation has the aspiration and readiness to develop their capabilities and contribute to Korean society."

Director-General Lee Ki-seong, in his congratulatory remarks, said, "I congratulate President Kim Mi-jeong on her inauguration." He also requested that the Federation of Korean Chinese Associations play a greater role in ensuring that Korean Chinese residing in Korea can settle down stably and make various contributions to the development of local communities, adding that the Overseas Koreans Agency will provide necessary support in the process.

Also present at the event, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor Choi Ho-kwon, Consul General Zhong Hongnuo of the Chinese Embassy in Korea, and Yi Ling, Chairperson of the China Loving Women's Forum, also delivered congratulatory messages expressing their anticipation for the central association's activities.
