Songpa Macheon Youth Center announced on the 14th that it has begun recruiting participants for the ‘2025 I MAP U Summer Vacation English Camp’ held in the UK and Ireland. This overseas English camp is designed to coincide with the summer vacation period and is designed to allow Korean elementary and middle school students to learn and interact with local European youth.

A key feature of this English camp is direct participation in Ireland’s transition year program. This is the system that became the model for Korea’s free semester system. Participating youth can experience the Irish local education system, increase their motivation for English learning, and have opportunities to explore their career paths. In addition, the camp schedule includes a tour program that visits major UK attractions, allowing participants to directly experience the culture and history of the UK and Ireland. This camp, which first started in 2017, is a non-profit program and is celebrating its 6th year this year.

The Macheon Youth Center said that Ireland is achieving economic growth with global companies such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, and Pfizer. This opportunity to take classes and network with local Irish students in a summer vacation program provided by a prestigious university in the top 5% of Ireland will provide our youth with practical career exploration and English learning motivation.
