LX Pantos Steps Up Safety for Partners, Supplying New Functional Workwear to 100 Cooperating Companies

- Approximately 3,000 On-Site Logistics Personnel to Receive Specialized Summer Uniforms and Safety Kits - Innovative Integrated Design Combines High-Visibility Safety Vests with Lightweight Apparel to Mitigate Heatstroke Risks

SEOUL — LX Pantos, a leading global logistics company, announced on Tuesday that it will supply newly designed summer workwear and comprehensive safety kits to approximately 3,000 on-site workers across 100 of its partner and cooperating companies. The large-scale supportive initiative aims to prevent heat-related illnesses at logistics centers nationwide ahead of the looming summer heatwave, while simultaneously fostering a culture of mutual growth and proactive workplace safety.

As summer temperatures continue to soar, indoor and outdoor logistics hubs often face severe challenges related to extreme heat. Recognizing these risks, LX Pantos has organized this support program to protect the health and well-being of front-line workers. By equipping subcontractors and partner employees with enhanced gear, the company plans to establish an advanced safety ecosystem centered on prevention rather than retrospective treatment.

The newly introduced summer workwear represents a significant technological and ergonomic upgrade over conventional uniforms. It is manufactured using premium, ultra-lightweight fabrics engineered with superior breathability, moisture-wicking capabilities, and quick-dry technology. These properties ensure that workers remain relatively dry and comfortable, even during intense physical labor under high temperatures.

Revolutionary Integrated Safety Design

A key highlight of the new uniform is the integration of safety and convenience. In terms of design, the shirts feature a high-visibility fluorescent orange hue supplemented with strategic reflective strips. This ensures that workers remain clearly visible to forklift operators and other heavy machinery drivers within dimly lit or high-traffic warehouse environments, effectively preventing vehicular accidents.

Traditionally, logistics personnel were required to wear a standard safety vest over their regular uniform to comply with safety protocols. This double-layering system has long been a source of discomfort, trapping body heat and restricting fluid movement during peak summer days.

To address this persistent operational bottleneck, LX Pantos designed the new workwear to incorporate the functional visibility elements of a safety vest directly into the lightweight fabric of the polo shirt itself. By eliminating the need for an additional vest, the new design substantially reduces the thermal load on workers, alleviating physical strain while maintaining strict compliance with industrial safety regulations.

Holistic Heatstroke Prevention Kits

In addition to the high-performance clothing, LX Pantos is distributing specialized health and safety kits tailored for heatwave management. These kits include essential items such as:

Saline Glucose Tablets: Crucial for maintaining electrolyte balance and preventing dehydration or sudden cramps during prolonged sweating.
Cooling Arm Sleeves & Cooling Towels: Provided to assist workers in instantly lowering their core body temperature during scheduled rest periods.
WBT-based Wet-bulb Body Thermometers: Distributed to individual sites to monitor local heat index, humidity, and real-time temperatures, enabling managers to adjust workload or enforce mandatory rest breaks based on scientific data.
"The peak summer season poses elevated health hazards for logistics infrastructure, where the risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke skyrockets," an official representative from LX Pantos stated during the announcement. "Securing a safe, resilient, and comfortable environment for our partners' workforce is inextricably linked to our own operational excellence. We remain firmly dedicated to strengthening our win-win partnerships and will spare no effort in creating workplaces where human safety always comes first."

Industry analysts view this move by LX Pantos as a commendable example of modern Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. In South Korea's logistics sector, where heavy reliance on subcontractors often leads to gaps in safety oversight, extending premium safety gear and health management tools to third-party partner employees is regarded as a vital step forward in bridging the safety divide and setting a new industry standard.
