On May 28, Commissioner Lee Sang-deok had a communication session with 63 next-generation Koreans from 26 countries participating in the '2025 World Next-Generation Korean Convention,' introducing the key policies of the Overseas Koreans Agency.

That afternoon, Commissioner Lee held a "Dialogue with the Overseas Koreans Agency" for the convention participants at ConvensiA in Songdo, Incheon.

Commissioner Lee began by defining overseas Koreans and sharing information on the population and immigration history of overseas Koreans by country. He then introduced the policy initiatives and major policies promoted since the establishment of the Overseas Koreans Agency on June 5, 2023.

Key tasks and initiatives highlighted include: ▲ Establishing a Korean business network ▲ Supporting the settlement of Koreans in Korea ▲ Diversifying one-stop, non-face-to-face services ▲ Promoting overseas Korean support policies befitting national prestige ▲ Strengthening exchange and cooperation within the Korean network.

Following the "Dialogue with the Overseas Koreans Agency," participants unanimously expressed their hope that the Overseas Koreans Agency would provide practical support for building networks and establishing identity for the next generation.

On the second day of the convention, the next-generation participants presented on: ▲ Strategies for entering mainstream society in their resident countries ▲ Methods for establishing identity ▲ Examples of activities by local next-generation organizations. In the group discussions, they addressed: ▲ The current status of next-generation overseas Koreans in their resident countries ▲ Current issues in their resident countries.
