SANTIAGO, Chile – In a strategic move to enhance digital security for its subscribers, Claro Chile, a prominent subsidiary of Latin American telecommunications giant América Móvil, has announced a significant partnership with German cybersecurity innovator cyan AG. The collaboration marks cyan AG's inaugural foray into the burgeoning Latin American market, signaling a pivotal expansion in the company's global growth trajectory.

The cornerstone of this alliance is the integration of cyan AG's advanced OnNet Plus software solution directly into Claro's network infrastructure. This seamless incorporation will empower Claro's end-users with comprehensive cybersecurity protection against a spectrum of online threats, including sophisticated phishing attacks, malicious software, viral intrusions, Trojan horse programs, and illicit downloads. Notably, this robust defense mechanism will be readily accessible without requiring customers to undertake any separate installation procedures, streamlining the user experience while fortifying their digital lives.

Under the white-labeled designation "Internet Seguro," meaning "Safe Internet," the newly integrated security offering is currently being rolled out across all of Claro Chile's sales channels. The initial focus will be on the business-to-consumer (B2C) postpaid segment, representing a substantial addressable market of approximately 1.9 million potential users. This strategic targeting underscores Claro's commitment to providing value-added services to its existing customer base.

For cyan AG, this partnership with Claro Chile represents a landmark achievement as its first Tier 1 telecommunications partnership within the dynamic Latin American landscape. The cybersecurity firm has already established a robust network of collaborations with mobile and fixed-line internet service providers, as well as financial institutions, across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. This latest alliance signifies a significant broadening of its global reach and underscores the universal demand for robust cybersecurity solutions.

cyan AG's core business model involves the seamless integration of its security technologies as white-label solutions within the existing application and system ecosystems of its international partners. This approach enables partners to offer cutting-edge cybersecurity services to both individual consumers and enterprise clients under their own trusted brand identities. Furthermore, cyan AG extends its offerings to the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector through its cyan Guard 360 suite, delivered via managed service providers.

Industry analysts anticipate that this synergistic partnership will yield significant benefits for both entities. Claro Chile is poised to strengthen its customer value proposition by offering a more secure and resilient internet experience, thereby enhancing customer loyalty and potentially attracting new subscribers. Concurrently, cyan AG stands to capitalize on the rapid growth and increasing digitalization within the Latin American market, establishing a crucial foothold for future expansion and partnerships within the region. The collaboration is widely viewed as a mutually beneficial strategy that addresses the escalating need for comprehensive cybersecurity in an increasingly interconnected world.
