Seoul, South Korea – Artist United, a leading entertainment company that recently completed a merger with Artist Company, is diving into the AI business through a new partnership with global AI startup Perplexity AI.

The collaboration aims to develop tailored AI solutions for the South Korean B2B market. Artist United, known for its expertise in content production, talent management, and big data-driven advertising platforms, will leverage Perplexity AI's advanced search technology to revolutionize the domestic AI solutions market.

This partnership is expected to extend beyond B2B, with potential expansion into the B2C sector. Perplexity AI, which gained industry recognition after launching its AI search engine in 2022, has secured significant investments from tech giants like Nvidia, SoftBank, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The collaboration was initiated during a visit by Perplexity AI CEO Arvind Srinivas to South Korea in September 2022. Srinivas and Artist United's internal director, Jung Jae, discussed potential synergies, leading to an agreement to develop customized services for the Korean market based on Perplexity AI's search engine technology.

The two companies are currently developing specialized services in four key areas: commerce, online advertising, marketing, and entertainment. These services aim to provide tailored solutions for businesses and intuitive, innovative user experiences for consumers.

By offering personalized marketing messages, customized shopping experiences, and optimized content recommendations, the partnership will support businesses in their digital transformation. Artist United plans to leverage its strong technical sales capabilities to enhance its market competitiveness.

In the commerce sector, the companies will introduce AI-powered conversational product search services. This will go beyond traditional keyword searches by providing tailored results based on a more sophisticated analysis of user intent.

For online advertising, the partnership will introduce a simplified advertising setup service utilizing AI chatbots. This aims to significantly improve user convenience by streamlining the traditionally complex manual setup process. In the marketing and entertainment sectors, the companies are developing a feature that allows users to search for related content based on specific scenes, keywords, or character dialogue.

"This partnership with Perplexity AI will go beyond simply adopting technology," said an official from Artist United. "We will develop customized solutions tailored to domestic companies and provide differentiated services based on world-class technology."
