Chungnam Fire Headquarters Conducts Intensive Inspections of Fire and Evacuation Facilities Until November 12… Preemptively Removing Fire Hazard Factors

The Chungnam Fire Headquarters announced on the 5th that it will conduct pre-inspections of fire hazard factors at 53 testing sites across the province ahead of the 2027 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) scheduled for the 19th.

The inspection, which has been underway since the 26th of last month, aims to create an environment where test-takers can focus on their exams with peace of mind and will continue until the 12th.

Key inspection items include whether fire-fighting facilities such as fire pumps and receivers operate normally, as well as the management status of evacuation and fire prevention facilities such as emergency exits, evacuation routes, and fire doors.

In addition, school officials will be educated on initial response methods in the event of a fire and how to handle malfunctions in fire-fighting facilities, while emergency contact networks will also be checked.

The provincial fire headquarters plans to guide minor issues identified during the inspection to be corrected on-site, and manage items requiring reinforcement to be completed by the 17th.

Baek Seung-doo, Acting Head of the Chungnam Fire Headquarters, stated, "We will proactively identify and improve fire hazard factors within the testing sites and make every effort to create a safe testing environment," adding, "We ask school officials to thoroughly implement facility management and safety measures so that test-takers can take their exams with peace of mind."
