Bucheon Women's Center joins hands with local universities to support brand promotion and marketing

The Bucheon Women's Youth Foundation (CEO Lee Kang-in) announced that the Bucheon Women's Center is launching a practical startup support program in cooperation with local universities to strengthen the brand competitiveness and expand market access for local women entrepreneurs.

This initiative focuses on resolving the difficulties in brand promotion and marketing that women entrepreneurs face after product development, and producing tangible results that can be practically utilized in the startup field. To this end, the center is expanding its support—traditionally centered on product manufacturing—to include brand promotion and marketing by leveraging the professional capabilities of local universities.

First, in cooperation with the Consumer Studies academic society "ALLSO" at Catholic University, the center will run a practical women's startup "Brand Launch Mock Competition" from October to November. Fifteen female prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs will be matched 1:1 with 15 university students to support the creation of SNS promotional materials to effectively reach customers. The program plans to select outstanding teams through expert mentoring and a final competition, linking them to follow-up startup support programs.

In addition, in cooperation with the Bucheon University Anchor Industry-Academic Support Center and the Department of Video & Game Content, the center will promote the production of promotional videos introducing women entrepreneurs' products and the startup activation space "Yeonarae." The produced videos are expected to be utilized to publicize the products and brands of women entrepreneurs and help expand their sales channels in the future.

This cooperation adds brand strategy and digital promotion to the startup education, product development, and market support that the Bucheon Women's Center has traditionally pursued, thereby enhancing the actual market competitiveness of women entrepreneurs. At the same time, it provides youth with opportunities to apply their major knowledge to actual startup fields, laying the groundwork for mutual growth across generations.

An official from the Bucheon Women's Center stated, "It is important to support women entrepreneurs so that they do not stop at developing good products, but can promote their own brands and connect them to sales. We will continue to link various local resources to create a startup environment where women entrepreneurs can build competitiveness in the market and achieve sustainable growth."

Meanwhile, the Bucheon Women's Center operates growth-stage support programs for women entrepreneurs, such as startup education, product development mentoring, flea markets, and market support, based on its startup activation spaces "Yeonarae" and "Ilggumteo."
