Scheduled from Oct. 19 (Mon) to Oct. 23 (Fri) across all regions including South Chungcheong, Daejeon, and Sejong.

The Republic of Korea Army’s 32nd Infantry Division will conduct the '26 Hoguk Exercise from October 19 (Mon) to October 23 (Fri) across the South Chungcheong, Daejeon, and Sejong regions to prepare for local provocations and full-scale war scenarios.

This training is conducted realistically in conjunction with local governments, assuming multi-complex situations such as counter-landing operations, anti-air and anti-drone infiltration operations, protection of national critical facilities, and nuclear and WMD response operations to cultivate response capabilities.

In particular, by operating joint ground, naval, and air assets, the division will master joint operation execution procedures against maritime and coastal infiltration. It will also conduct day and night actual field maneuvers in parallel to establish rear-area operation execution capabilities across various operational forms by verifying the operational capabilities of available elements for integrated defense operations—including military, government, police, and firefighting personnel—within the operational area during crises.

During the Hoguk Exercise period, the division stated, "Actual troops and equipment may move day and night, so we ask for the understanding and active cooperation of local residents despite any potential inconveniences. If you are asked about the locations of military or national critical facilities or spot a suspicious person, please immediately report it to the nearest military unit, police station, or by calling 1338 without an area code."

Furthermore, the 32nd Infantry Division announced that through this realistic '26 Hoguk Exercise, it will fulfill its duty as a regional defense unit that "together with local residents" executes flawless integrated defense operations in the event of a crisis within its responsible area.
